Body Armour

The Rider's clothing includes jacket and riding pants, which give some extent of protection from knocks. This clothing contains pockets into which protective armour can be placed. This gives much more substantial protection.

d3o lab have developed a material which is very efficient at absorbing impact whilst still being light weight, not restrictive to movement and somewhat thinner than usual CE approved armour. It is soft and pliable and should be breathable due to the shape into which it has been moulded.

The Rider has joined d3o as a 'development athlete' to see how well the armour fares in everyday use as well as for the various knocks that may occur along the way. The armour (see below) has been fitted to the elbows and shoulders of the jacket and to the hips and shins of the riding pants.
