Battery Charger and Rechargeable Batteries Each electrical device carried needs to be powered. For communication between the Riders, walkie talkies will be used. These will have a high demand for power and it is likely that opportunities for charging batteries will be limited.

Click on the logo above for more information on Ansmann Energy. Ansmann Energy have kindly provided the Riders with a Digispeed 4 battery charger together with rechargeable NiMH batteries. As well as having long running time, these batteries, together with the charger can be back to full power within about an hour. Power source options for recharging are either mains electricity or via the accessory sockets fitted to the motorcycles.
