To be carried either as consumables or for repair to things that commonly go wrong.

    - Water pump repair kit

    - Front and rear brakes (suggest a pair of 'fronts' for every 5000 miles)

    - Air filter (one for every 12,000 miles)

    - Oil filter (one for every 8000 miles)

    - Oil change washer kit (one for every 4000 miles)

    - Spark plug

    - Front and rear tyre tubes

    - Wheel spokes (2 front left, 2 front right, 3 rear)

    - Various nuts and bolts (including subframe)

    - Spare sump plug (in case of rounding off or overtightening)

    - Oil (1litre - click here for how it is to be carried)

    - Fuses (3x each of 7.5, 15, 20A - brown, yellow and blue)

The took kit was put together based upon reference from NB on the www.f650.com website at this location and videos 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Torx on 1/4" drive                       T20, T25, T30

Torx on 3/8" or 1/2" drive           T40, T45

Hex on 1/4" drive                        5, 6, 8mm (also added a 5mm round end key)

Hex on 3/8" or 1/2" drive            5, 6, 8mm

Socket on 1/4" drive                  10mm

Socket on 3/8" or 1/2" drive      13mm, 15/16" (fits sump better than 24mm)

                                                     1/2" (for Touratech panniers)

                                                     18mm deep socket for spark plugs

Wrenches                                    Adjustable

                                                      Combination (open/closed) 8, 10-15mm

                                                      24mm spanner from standard BMW toolkit

Screwdrivers                               Philips, Slot, Electrical

Tyre Irons                                     1 x 280mm, 2 x 240mm (brand is Buzetti)

Vise-grips                                    7" (brand is Irwin)

Other Items carried

Tie down straps (just ask your local BMW dealer for some of the straps from new bikes as they come with them in the crate)
