A holiday from my holiday
After spending a week in Pune with the family of a good friend of mine, I decided to have a look around Goa and to work on my tan. Also, after the stresses and strains of 4 months on the road, some R&R was in order.
Having now spent two days in Goa, it is clear that I have picked the wrong time of year as the monsoon season is fully evident!
My radiator should arrive next week, so looking forward to getting back on the road. More soon...

Hi there Charles ....
Just clicked on your link for the first time in a few weeks, to catch up with where you are now. And see you're in Goa!
Been there twice and loved it. Missed the monsoon's though. Had one week hurtling around the locale on a Yam' 125 which had the effect of making fall in love with biking all over again (I'd had a few years bike-less up till then).
I've been in touch with an aquaintance of yours, Bjorn. We're hoping to hook-up for part our Asia/Thailand/Oz trip next year. I've been in contact with Ernie of Overland Solutions too, trying to get prices for panniers etc. O.S. have been elusive with both emails and calls ever since though for some reason ...
Do you still have plans for getting the bikes crated/flown from Sri Lanka? Or something else perhaps?
Keep us posted on the new radiator and other progress.
Regards Len
Lenz,
Best to give Ernie a call rather than email, I find.
We have decided to miss Sri Lanka as there are no ferries between the two and a flight is prohibitavely expensive for just 7 days. Will aim to go straight to Malaysia and then ride down to Indonesia from there, it should be easy enough to ship it to Darwin.
New radiator now installed and I am in Kerala. Other problems with clutch cable and a lost oil filler cap, though. Fixed easily enough...
